Commission Policy
In a commission, the Purchaser commissions the Artist to create a custom work of art based on an agreed upon description, timeframe, and price.
The Artwork. The Purchaser of the commission will own the individual piece of art in perpetuity.
Payment Schedule. Payment for the commission is made upfront, before the work is created.
Delivery. The Artist will arrange final delivery for the artwork.
Copyright. The Artist retains copyright to all works commissioned by the Purchaser, including all reproduction rights, and the right to claim statutory copy. No artwork may be reproduced without the artists written consent.
Right of Refusal. In the event that the Purchaser does not wish to accept the commissioned artwork, the Purchaser may refuse the artwork. In that case, the Artist will retain the refused artwork and refund 50% of the commission price to the purchaser. This is free of any claims or interests of the Purchaser and the Purchaser will not owe any additional fees to the Artist. The Artist will be free to sell the artwork elsewhere.
Returns. There are no returns once the Purchaser takes possession of the artwork.
